A perennial favourite at the Nipigon Fall Fishing Festival, the Giant Penny Auction offers an exciting opportunity for everyone to win fantastic prizes while supporting our community!

The action kicks off on Saturday at noon, coinciding with the opening of the Vendor Market. Throughout the weekend, festival-goers can purchase tickets and place them in the jars corresponding to the prizes they hope to win. With a wide array of items generously donated by local businesses and sponsors, there's always something for everyone, from gift baskets and local experiences to larger, highly anticipated items.

The excitement builds until Monday at 4:00 PM, when ticket sales conclude. Following that, the much-anticipated draws will take place between 4:00 PM and 4:30 PM, revealing the lucky winners. It's a fun and engaging way to participate in the festival, support worthy local causes, and perhaps take home a fantastic souvenir!

The 60th Annual Nipigon Fall Fishing Festival, a long-standing community tradition, includes a vibrant vendor market.  Get ready for two nights of incredible live music and good times at the Nipigon Fall Fishing Festival! Presented by the Red Rock Indian Band, the festival features two 19+ nights of entertainment on Friday and Sunday. From 8 PM to 12 AM, the air will be filled with the sounds of live music, offering the perfect way to unwind and enjoy the weekend. It's an opportunity to gather with friends, dance to great tunes, and experience the vibrant energy of the festival after dark. 

Kicking off the main weekend festivities with a bang, the Nipigon Fall Fishing Festival Annual Parade takes to the streets on Saturday at noon! This vibrant and much-anticipated procession begins downtown and winds its way through the heart of Nipigon, culminating at the Community Centre.

The parade is a true showcase of local spirit and creativity, featuring a colourful array of floats ranging from imaginatively decorated wheels to classic cars that gleam. A highlight for many is the stirring presence of the Macgillivray Pipe Band, whose traditional music fills the air with a festive energy. With many other community favourites joining in, it's a spectacle of sound, colour, and excitement that brings residents and visitors together to celebrate the festival and the spirit of Nipigon.

Join the Nipigon Fire Department Association for their Annual Fireman's Challenge, a fun and interactive event for children. Starting at 1 PM on Saturday, in the arena field, right after the festival parade, kids can put their "firefighting" skills to the test on a special course. This is a great opportunity for young aspiring firefighters to experience some of the challenges first responders face in a safe and enjoyable environment. It's a fantastic way for the community to engage with the local fire department and for children to have a blast while learning about fire safety.

Get ready to hit the dance floor on Saturday night at the Nipigon Fall Fishing Festival! Join the party at the Royal Canadian Legion, Branch 32, for a night of music with DJ Luke Zechner. This is an age of majority event, with dancing starting at 8 PM. Admission is just $5, making it the perfect way to cap off a day of festival fun. Bring your friends and get ready to dance the night away!
